This expedition in Cusco is a great first climbing experience that includes glacier travel and moderate snow while ascending a 6.000+ meter mountain.

Day 1: Cusco - Phinaya - Base Camp
We leave Cusco at 4:00 am and drive towards the mountain. Chumpe is a massive glaciated mountain. It is located about 100Km Southeast of Cusco and It is characterized by good climbing opportunities and interesting glaciers. After an 8-hour trip, we will arrive at our Base Camp (4.900m). You will be involved carrying your own equipment to the camp. Porters will help carrying the tents, food and communal gear such as ropes.
Day 2: Base Camp - High Camp
After a light lunch, we walk about 4 hours to High Camp (5.600m). Guests carry their personal belongings. High Camp includes tents 4 season, 1 per each 2 guests. Here we will have early dinner and try to rest.
Day 3: High Camp - Base Camp
From the High Camp it normally takes 6-hours to get to the Summit (6.106m), from where you will enjoy one of the most impressive views in Cusco. The descent to the Base Camp takes 5-hours.
Day 4: Base Camp - Phinaya - Cusco
After a breakfast, and an 8-hour trip in private transport, we will arrive to Cusco.
