This hike offers a great combination of beauty and contrasts in scenery, wildlife, and ancient cultures. Discover this fantastic hike with the best operator in Cusco.

We'll stop by your hotel to pick you at 5:30 am; the day starts by driving to the small town of Ccorao, around 30 minutes from Cusco. We will then continue for another 15 minutes to Qoricocha lake, the starting point of our trek.

We'll ascend 45 minutes to the Apacheta pass, which is the highest point of our trek (4.200m). From here is downhill. For 2 hours, we'll cross Pukamarca ancient community, fertile valleys, and a grand Puma Puncu canyon ("the puma door"). From here, you will hike along an original Incan trail, which has been restored as part of the Qapac Ñan project. This trail will lead you to the isolated and mysterious Inca site of Huchuy Qosqo ("the little Cusco"). Once in the place, your guide show you all the site's impressive Inca buildings.

We will begin our 2-hour walk downhill to Lamay's village (2.800m) by the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley.
