Day 1: Cusco - Phinaya
Today we travel to Phinaya village (4.850m). Rest day.
Day 2: Phinaya - Base Camp
From here, it takes us about three hours to walk to the Base Camp (5.000m) where we spend the afternoon preparing for next day. You will be involved carrying your own equipment to the camp. Porters will help carrying the tents, food and communal gear such as ropes.
Day 3: Base Camp - High Camp
After a light lunch, we walk about 3 hours to High Camp (5.600m). Guests carry their personal belongings. High Camp includes tents 4 season, 1 per each 2 guests. Here we will have early dinner and try to rest.
Day 4: High Camp - Summit - Base Camp - Cusco
We start the climb at about midnight following "The Pass" (5.750m). This new variant, free from rock fall, makes it a much safer line to the top. From the High Camp it normally takes 6-hours to get to the Summit (6.049m), from where you will enjoy one of the most impressive views in Cusco. The descent to the High Camp takes 3-hours. After returning to the camp, we’ll have some rest, pack, descend to Phinaya village, and drive to Cusco.
